The CPS offers a variety of classroom-based Boating Safety and Navigation courses at locations across Canada. Courses include the Pleasurecraft Operator Card, maritime radio operation, electronic navigation, boat and engine maintenance, and more.

However, in order to use a GPS/chartplotter effectively, you should understand the use of paper charts and coastal navigation.
